Anne Katrine Senstad

Anne Katrine Senstad (b.1967), a Norwegian artist based in New York, has a diverse background in art, having studied at Parsons School of Design, Berkeley University, and The New School. She specializes in Photography, Video, Installations, Agricultural Land Art, and Site-Specific Projects.

Senstad's work has been exhibited internationally, including venues such as Zendai Moma in Shanghai, the Eva Peron Museum in Buenos Aires, and various galleries in New York. Notable exhibitions include "ONE" at Galleri JMS in Norway and "Light Writes Always in Plural" at Houston Center for Photography. Her video pieces have been showcased at prestigious locations such as DIVA Paris Le Carousel Louvre and Utsikten Kunstsenter in Norway.

In 2008, Senstad was invited by Zendai MOMA in Shanghai to exhibit her "White Neon Light Words" series as a site-specific installation. Her Site-Specific Light installations, including "The Light House" in New Orleans, have garnered attention during events like Prospect 1.

Senstad's exploration of cultural identities is evident in her artist books, particularly "The Norwegians" series. She has received numerous grants and awards, including commissions from the Ohio State Art Council and Snøhetta.
