Opening exhibition - TRE
SKOG opens its doors with the exhibition TRE (Wood) on 27 October 2022 at 18:00 in Scheigaardsgate 94. The exhibition TRE is gathering 10 artists contributing with objects that only have one thing in common: wood.
The team behind SKOG is excited to welcome you to our first exhibition ever!
The tactile sensation of bark and rough surface. The smell of birch, rot and the feeling of joy for the simplicity of the tree's elusiveness. Few materials are more vibrant, organic and Norwegian than wood. This exhibition features objects with the common feature that they are all made of wood.
Skogen design has now become SKOG, and this exhibition celebrates the legacy of Skogen design in a natural transition from the old to the new. Wood is a material of life in constant motion, just like us.
The artists contributing to first exhibition are: Hanna Halsebakke, Renate Thor, Rut Fjågesund, Kevin Kurang, Yngve Jørgensen, Toni Porter, Tore Beck Carstensen, Sverre Uhnger, Øystein Lønvik and Ingveig Nodland. The exhibition is curated by Brian Noguera-Gabrielli, Ebbe Arneberg and partners. Read more about the artists.
