Light as a physical phenomenon influences life and matter, and can be used for illumination, communication, measurement, and manipulation. It can also be manipulated itself. In this exhibition, you will see sculptural objects that produce light, each with a different function and expression.

How does the presence of light change the way we perceive and interact with an object? How does an object with inherent electric light relate to itself, to other objects, and to the viewer?

Various artists at SKOG

While som of the artists have created objects that have a practical function, others will display sculptures with an aesthetic function. Some have used light as a carrier of information, while others as a conveyor for emotion.

By presenting these works, the exhibition aims to demonstrate and challenge the artistic possibilities of light. It also invites us to reflect on our own relationship with artificial light, and how it affects our perception of modern reality.
