Terje’s exhibiton lastet from February 10th to the 2nd of March, at SKOG. The Exibithion showcased the meeting between the hard material of the industrial and natures own naturual material through sculptures and installations.

Roalkvam explores contrasts and connections between the strict and the rich, the ascetic and the sensual. The exhibition digs into the meeting between the harsh, cold industrial, represented by aluminum, and nature's own raw materials such as stone, wood, cones, and seashells. This contrast is woven together by Roalkvam's creative will and a sense of balance created through visual imbalance.

Geometric shapes like the square, circle, triangle, and line are investigated as structures challenging our perception of space. The exhibition offers a visually impressive, meditative space where Roalkvam's art extends far beyond the physical. It invites the viewer into a sweeping, precise artistic gesture that inspires and challenges all of us.

About Terje Roalkvam
Terje Roalkvam (b. 1948) has his education in the National Academy of Craft and Art Industry and the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Since the 1970s, Roalkvam has held numerous solo exhibitions and participated in a wide range of group exhibitions. He has a long career behind him both nationally and internationally, including exhibitions in renowned venues such as the Stenersen Museum, Lillehammer Art Museum, Northern Norway Art Museum, and Kunstnerforbundet, Oslo as well as the National Art Exhibition (Høstutstillingen) several times. Roalkvam's works have also been acquired by several public collections, including the National Gallery, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Lillehammer Art Museum, KODE Museum, Museum Sztuki in Lodz (PL), Minneapolis Institute of Art (USA), and the Gothenburg Museum of Art, to name a few.
