More about him here.

Michael Johansson (b. 1975) is a Swedish sculptor and artist known for his massive installations made from everyday objects. He studied at the Malmö Art Academy and the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm. He also spent time at the Kunsthochschule in Berlin. His work is all about finding a sense of order within the chaos of our daily lives.

Michael’s work is often described as a kind of “real-life Tetris”. He takes ordinary, secondhand items such as suitcases, tools or furniture, and stacks them so perfectly into geometric blocks that there is no empty space left. He doesn’t change the objects but just uses their original colors and shapes to create a new system where everything fits together. He transforms the ordinary into something playful and visually impressive.
