Ceramic Brussels 2025: Meet SKOG & Irene Nordli, Ebbe Arneberg & Anders Hald

From February the 22nd to the 26th, SKOG Art Space had the pleasure of participating in Ceramic Brussels 2025, one of Europe's leading fairs for contemporary ceramic art.

The 2025 edition of the fair had a particular spotlight on Norway – featuring a collaboration between Norwegian Crafts and the organizers of Ceramic Brussels. As one of the five art galleries representing Norway, SKOG played a key role in showcasing diversity of Norwegian ceramics including the artists: Irene Nordli, Ebbe Arneberg and Anders Hald, whose catalogue and pricelist is available here.

In addition to the exhibitions, the fair also offered a series of curated talks and panel discussions with Norway's influence. The talks explored various aspects of Norwegian contemporary ceramic art forms, from its long standing traditions and craftsmanship, as well as its historical influence in art history. We are proud to present Irene Nordli and Anders Hald, who each held their own panel talk.

This year's topics, which included; design, energy transition, circular economy, craftsmanship and life sciences, was first announced during the Princely mission in Norway (June 16-19, 2024).

Our participation in Ceramic Brussels provided us with exposure for both our gallery and our artists, by opening up for international collectors, buyers and curators. With the fair's focus on Norway, we were able to witness the start of a stronger interest in Norwegian contemporary ceramic art in a global manner. We are grateful to have been included in a handful of media & press articles, which you can read more about here.

SKOG Art Space thanks Norwegian Crafts and the Office for Contemporary Art Norway for the economic support, as well as Ceramic Brussels for inviting us to be a part of this. We look forward to visiting art fairs like this in the future and further strengthening the international bond within the contemporary art world.
