Cornucopia by Kristian Hagerup

The exhibition "Cornucopia" plays on the idea of excess as a culturally conditioned phenomenon that also made itself visible in art. Sometimes it's also tiring to be too full... The artist Kristian Hagerup invites you into his inspiring and challenging universe through colours, body parts and combinations. See pricelist and more pics of the exhibition (photo: Kevin Fauske) here. Press release here.
From early on, blue was an expensive pigment on the artist's palette, and the color was therefore applied in thin brushstrokes, preferably towards the end of the painting process. The color blue was therefore a symbol of the expensive and superfluous, but at the same time also a conscious expression of frugality and awareness of materials in art.
