Vernissage 8 August 18:00 in SKOG. In the exhibition "Sammenhenging" (Connection) by Philipp Spillmann, Jim Darbu and Christoffer Fjeldstad, they ask the following questions:
How important is art?
Hanging out, hanging out together, what happens when three friends and artists create an exhibition
together?
We are all on our own journey. One looks for junk in the forest, another portrays life with a humorous and dystopian slant. The last one travels to Kautokeino to paint the absurd.
Voluntarily forced together, the artists offer joy and entertainment, unrest and existentialism.
Three personal stories from different disciplines.
Philipp Spillman was born and raised in Switzerland and has classical goldsmith training. He moved to Norway in 2001 and gradually began exploring alternative materials found in landfills, flea markets or discarded in nature; materials that evoke sensations and associations. Spillmann mainly works with jewelery as an art form. In recent years he has also made purely sculptural works and decorations in public buildings. Since he became a member of Norske Kunsthåndverkere in 2011, he has exhibited both nationally and internationally and his works are represented in several private and museum collections.
Jim Darbu has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in private galleries and art-institutions throughout Norway since 2010. His works are held in the collections of Bergen Art Museum, Akershus County and Hå old vicarage, Norway. His art is highly influenced by the aesthetics of pop art, comics, films and video entertainment games.
Christoffer Fjeldstad is a visually challenging artist who works with motifs of the surrealist and cartoon-like kind.
Sammenhenging
