Artists from SKOG at Oslo Open

This upcoming weekend, the annual Oslo Open festival invites the public to step inside the workspaces of hundreds of professional visual artists across the city. It is a unique opportunity to see where art is made, meet the creators and get a behind-the-scenes look at their artistic processes.

At SKOG, we are very proud of the talented contemporary artists that we collaborate with! To celebrate this great city-wide initiative, we have put together a quick guide highlighting six amazing artists from the SKOG family who are participating in the Oslo Open this year.

Whether you already discovered their work in our past exhibitions or will see them later this year in our future exhibitions, we highly recommend adding them to your Oslo Open route!

Anders Hald

(Han/ham)
Address: Trondheimsveien 41, 0560 Oslo
Floor: 1.
Studio is open Sunday 19 April from 12-17 PM.

Anders Hald: Working primarily with ceramic sculptures and bas-reliefs, Anders Hald blends abstraction with figuration. His dramatic, energetic pieces are known for their rough textures, featuring visible fingerprints and tool marks that celebrate the physical chaos of the creative process. We had the pleasure of hosting his exhibition “I See What I See” at SKOG from November 16 to December 10, 2023.

Anders Hald was part of the Ceramic Brussel 2025. Read more about the artist here.

Floor: 4
Room: 415
Studio is open Sunday 19 April from 12-17 PM.

Benedicte Dahm: Her conceptual practice explores our complex relationship with nature and infrastructure. Centered around the theme of “the water tourist”, her fascinating work examines everything from moisture-seeking insects and hikers to river conflicts and urban water systems. We were proud to host her as our selected Artist in Residence at SKOG in July 2024, where she developed this multi-layered project.
